My biggest knock on any of these developments is the landscaping etc on houses that face streets (think sides of houses or back) is blank. Why wouldn’t they put landscaping and shutters on few houses on the corners or that back up to streets? It would be a better investment that the giant brick signs at the entrance.

Are you worried about protected species, or poltergeists?

DR Horton also has a habit of leasing built homes out instead of selling them and then selling the entire development to entities like Blackrock.

It’s very profitable for Horton and makes owning a home that much more difficult.

They built a subdivision in my area and it has a central area with everyone's mailbox. WTF man?

The houses still go for about $380,000 and up, which I guess is entry-level now.

Zachary's school system rating is going to tank.

The absolute worst are the short driveways + narrow roads and everyone parked on the street. When were were house looking the succubus showing us houses knew a bunch of people parked on the street was a "no go" after a couple of houses she finally believed us.

As of now, Zachary has all grades of a single level within one school, sometimes all of two grades in one school.

If they were to continue growing, they would need, at the least, to consider splitting Rollins Place Elementary (1st and 2nd), Zachary Elementary (3rd and 4th), and Copper Mill Elementary (5th and 6th), meaning three new schools to handle a full grade apiece.

That doesn’t address overcrowding at the high school, middle school, or kindergarten, either.

Haha, I mean if movies have taught us nothing it’s don’t frick with Indian mounds. You could not pay me to live in that house. No but in all seriousness it’s they have laws in place for that stuff and they are able to circumnavigate them like they don’t exist. I walked through that neighborhood and they have a sign saying “Please respect this area, Indian Mounds and arrow heads have been found in area.” Are you kidding me? Respect the are? You excavated and built a damn neighborhood on top of that. I’m not some crazy animal rights person or gonna chain myself to a tree, but we gotta respect some stuff. Or else it will just be no land, houses everywhere, and Walmarts every 5 miles.

That’s the USPS pressuring to build cluster mailboxes more than the developer.

A bigger issue with these developers and houses is when you buy your brand new home for say $250k today and decide to sell in 5 years nobody wants to buy it Bc they can go a couple miles down the road and get a brand new house in a brand new subdivision for the same price that you want to sell for.

Crazy though that the price to build my same exact house went up $40k in a year. No chance I would have bought it at the price they are asking now.

Please just let me represent all the homeowners for the flooding, and shitty construction that will occur. They build poor shite homes, they will bribe the inspectors to get approved.
The shite the build is unbelievably bad, like incredible

Are they any places i can just put up billboard, When you realize your house it totally pos, when windows will not open or doors close, roof leaks every time it rains, your entire house floods in every thunderstorm, you find out wiring has to be completely re done. (just from my cases) Call me. Class action #568 against Horton.

They doesn’t build a 250,000 house anyway. They may sell them for that but they built shitty starter houses and sell them for 250. I bet they have never built a subdivision that hasn’t resulted in serious litigation.
Zachary should never approve that
