re: door to door salesmen - what are your feelings on this?

Those little kids that sell candy always get me.
They say they like my house and I have a pretty dog.
Then they say you look like someone who would appreciate fine chocolate.

I will go out of my way to not use their product if they come knocking on my door

I have a feeling that my wife is going to end up shooting one eventually. She works from home and deals with them from time to time. She's really been creeped out by a few of them, so I feel bad for the one that catches her on the wrong day.

they Get my dogs all worked up and piss me off. Vivint is the worst. I’m not even nice to them anymore.

Once or twice a year I still have someone knock on my door trying to sell me on their brand of God.

I blew my top and shouted at one that rang the doorbell (causing the dogs to go apeshit) when my son was about 3 months old and had finally stopped screaming and fell asleep.

I felt bad afterwards, but I was going on little sleep and was already pretty irritable.

I'm pretty sure the Jehovas Witnesses are actively trying to recruit me right now.

Two old guys came a couple days ago and asked if I wanted to talk about God. I asked "Tom Brady or Michael Jordan?". They were not impressed but they keep coming.

Vivint is second worst. I just open the door and say "Dude, no." but they still show up every so often. They got my next door neighbor in a contract, and everytime they show up to fix his stuff they try to sell to the houses nearby. They asked to put a Vivint sign in my yard, but I told them I didn't want passersby to think I'm a dumbass.
