Don’t take your mask politics out on the employees.

Saw this twice today. People putting it on the greeter and cashier because the ordinance makes them ask you to wear a mask to enter the business.
If it’s your patriotic duty to be a dick then ask for the manager or the owner. Or just realize that it’s out of their hands and wear a mask for two minutes. Or be John Wayne and have it delivered.

I'd have to agree. However stupid the rules are, this is what they have to do to conduct business without harassment from controlling mayors and governors.

I don’t have a problem wearing a mask for a few minutes while I shop. If I’m having surgery, I want my surgeon to wear one too.

Gotta love it when somebody wearing a mask with their nose out tells you to wear a mask.
I agree 100% though. Don't be a dick to the employees.

Business owners need to follow trends to stay relevant.
Popular thing to do lately: Declare autonomy and set your own rules. Screw the state/city, make a list of demands and go about your regular day.

I ve been wearing a mask in public and at work for months. I was coming home from the gym and stopped in CVS to get some paper plates quick. I forgot to wear my mask. Just slipped my mine. As I'm checking out this dude starting bitching to the cashier about me. She was cool about it. He didnt have the nuts to say anything to me. I apologized to her she was chill about it.

Cause they’re both so much alike.

I didn’t expect many OTers to understand the analogy.

The reason both are wearing them is the same.

My problem is more with employees at delis and such who aren't wearing a mask while hovering over food despite regulations requiring it.

Where are these ordinances written in the state codes?
So far not seeing any such laws

I have so few places to go these days that I don't mind a drive. I'll leave the parish. Try a new restaurant. Find a decent store. It sucks that the businesses are caught in the middle, but that's how it is. They can choose to take my money or they can tell the mayor to get fricked. Them's the breaks.
I 100% agree with not taking it out on the employees if you choose to go in there, though. If you can't be bothered to drive a little bit and hit them with your wallet, the 17 year old working the register can't be your target. That person didn't do shite and can't do shite.

Majority of employees I chat with wearing masks hate doing so. They don’t GAF because they realize it’s not about protecting them only the companies’ images.
