Are you a law professor?

Not presently. Adjunct pay is absolute dogshit. It's truly more akin to a hobby/way to give back than a "job" to make money.

Did you steal this line from Harvey Danger? So original.

Idk what this means but im just saying go buy a boat, tackle a home project, get a dog, build something, grow some crops, hang out with kids/grandkids, travel, brew beer, shoot guns, archery, hike, ski, workout etc. There are plenty of ways to fill your time if you're bored without working for someone else. It's kinda sad to see the old timers that go get mundane jobs just because they don't like being at home.

I would just do music full time. I love songwriting and performing. It would be incredible to have a budget behind me to make what I want on my schedule.

I always thought it'd be fun and educational to work in an auto-parts store.
I legit cringe every time I go into the parts store and have to deal with a woman because it always seems this is why they are there. Extremely limited relevant knowledge.

I would love to be blown away by a Mona Lisa Vito, but nothing even close yet!

eating a thin crust pizza with pepperoni, shrooms, fresh basil, and white truffle oil with some crushed red pepper and Parmesan on top...plus a $13 glass of Katherine Goldschmidt cabernet on sale for $7 - it is all very yummy to my tummy

You don't just step up to the grill right away. It might take you a year at dishwasher just to get an opportunity at the grill.

But this does sound fun.

If I can get an air conditioned cab I’d bush hog for the parish

Or

Get a job at a camp ground picking up trash bags on a golf cart or side by side and doing other simple tasks that keep me running around the grounds all day

I volunteered at a dog rescue for several years. A lot of good dogs and good people. A lot of weirdos too.

I play golf almost everyday.

I don’t know how I ever worked full time.
I still do some consulting work on Mondays.

That’s exactly how it’s said you should find your career. If you had enough money and you didn’t have to work for money, what would you do? It doesn’t always work. I said professional golfer. But they don’t let you on the tour when you shoot 104 on a regular basis. So I said ok, how about I want to be a an astronaut. Turns out they don’t let you do that if you’re out of shape and afraid of flying. Finally I just said, ok, I just want to be a loser who plays video games all day. And that’s when they said.. great! Because that’s what you already are!

I’m newly (early) retired.

I sleep the right / enough hours, workout / hike a ton, read, learn, live music, go to festivals that celebrate life, and drink bourbon every now and then. Live in 2 places. Enjoy family most.

If I had to get a job in retirement, it would involve engaging a lot of different types of people. Probably and airport info center person or jigilo.

I had a buddy who's dad was a VP at Texas based Department store. They were big sponsors of the Mavs in the 80's and 90's. His dad was the contact for all of that. He got to be good friends with an NBA executive .Even after he quit working that company, he got complimentary tickets for every NBA All Star game, free lodging and invitations to a bunch of the parties. He retired in his late 50's after being the president of another department store. left Dallas for a small town in Alabama, bought a convenience store and became a bookie. We used to call him from Dallas and place bets on Saturdays and Sundays.

The crazy thing about him doing what he did was he had always told us he wanted to buy something touristy in Hawaii and move to one of the islands. His son, who was my buddy, moved to the same area and made a fortune installing satellite dishes in the late 90's. He had to mount them on poles because most were sold to people in house trailers.

I remember when I was going to be an astronaut. I went to space camp, flew shuttle missions on the simulator, etc. Problem was, I knew that I wasn’t tall enough to be a fighter pilot. See, they recruited the shuttle pilots from naval and Air Force pilots. I had even lined up a sponsorship to Annapolis, but I kept waiting on a growth spurt that never came. I am still too short to pilot a fighter jet. St the end of high school, the president announced the end of the manned space program. So, knowing that I was grounded, I decided to combine my love of explosions, exploration, the sea, and the earth into a career in petroleum engineering. Not even two years into my degree the Gulf Oil Spill happened. It’s been one thing after another like that my entire career since.

I’ve only ever been sorta good at one thing my whole life: music, and never seemingly good enough at everything else that goes along with it to get paid enough to do it full time.
