Pablo got it this year. He is a poor immigrant from Venezuela here to provide for his brothers and sisters.

He was misunderstood in his homeland due to his 25 arrest and gang relations

Govt at all levels wastes 75 cents of every tax dollar they take from you. The taxpaying public should be outraged.

You have gone from being a relatively inactive poster for about 10 years to posting and creating topics multiple times a day. It makes me think, Who are you?

I may be wrong but I think our single biggest expenditure is the interest on our debt.

Absolutely unsustainable.

Teaching soldiers about pressing issues like DEI, drag time story hour, setting up loam programs only certain folks
can qualify for, all kinds of important stuff.

Take all the money they take from us, then add it all together....then add a trillion, or specifically 1.7 trillion.

1,700,000,000,000.00 more than the 4,600,000,000,000.00 we collect. Who would think that a couple that makes 200k could spend 275k every year...year over year and that would be a good way to operate.

Look at that number for a second, 1.7 million millions over budget.

THat is the money we fricking waste. Then we argue about which side is best. They got us right where they want us.

Remember that the next time a new tax is on the ballot.

Maybe don't have so much concern for the "hungry school children", or the "roads need work", or whatever horseshite they are already doing a terrible job of executing despite taking in more money than ever.

Just vote NO, and keep doing so until they can show some accountability and show you they can be trusted with all the funds we already give them.

If everyone had to pay in estimates rather than having taxes withheld from every paycheck, there would be much more accountability in government.

As it is now, most don't think about the $1,000 per paycheck that is withheld and then get excited when they get a refund. But if you had to mail a check for $6,000 every 3 months you would want to know where your taxes were being spent.

Imagine the uproar if we had to pay the government weekly, monthly or quarterly for taxes.

With direct deposit few even pay attention...

And a flat tax, or even better a consumption tax. But a consumption tax will drift upwards over time just like local sales tax.

Get rid of all the bullshite, get rid of all the deductions with exception to retirement savings and medical bills...and pay your small percentage.
