Back in the 80's a buddy of mine had a Chevy C-10 that he and his dad dropped in a big block 396 into. They spent months working on it. When it was finally done, he brought it up to the local hang out spot and somebody said "Hey let's see some donuts!" Well, the truck had a positraction rear end in it and try as he might, he couldn't get it to break loose.

Finally, in frustration, he popped it up in neutral and stood on it and dropped it down in 1. In a cloud of smoke, it broke free and the rear end stepped out. About 1 second later, he popped a light pole right at the rear axel. Moved the rear end housing over about 6". He drove off, dejected, crab walking the thing down the road. I don't think we ever laffed so hard.

Just saw some idiot doing donuts at White Rock Lake is a very small parking lot. I wanted to wait around to watch him nail a curb but my wife was ready to go.

Saw a guy in a jacked up F-150 with black smoke pouring out of his stacks do about 20 donuts in the middle of a busy (icy) Walmart parking lot.

It was all very impressive, and just when you were sure he was going to haul arse out of the parking lot and make his getaway, he parked. And proceeded to head inside. Lol.

. People believe 4WD/AWD overcomes the laws of physics but ice don't give a shite what you are driving with all season tires.

Pickups are terrible on ice/snow. The only advantage to a pickup is if you're pulling someone out, or the snow is over two feet deep.

Rear end is light and those usually fill the medians when the first snows come. People who know what they're doing put sandbags in the rear.

I suspect an insurance company seeing that video would deny the claim pretty quickly.

Yes and no. I filled the back of my Ranger with a few hundred pounds worth of bagged road salt during the winter while I was in PA. Had no issues with a 2WD 2.3L 5-speed manual with Cooper AT tires as long as I wasn't trying to do donuts.

Is that a raptor or just a F150 dressed like a raptor? I can't really tell if the wheel wells are like a raptor has from an F150.

Has the fender vents of a raptor and look how beefy the lower control arm is.

The thing most people miss about snow drifting is the beautiful slow-motion dance you can do with a car. I have only moderately decent car control but with a rear-wheel drive car in a snowy parking lot I can look like Tanner Foust in a fully prepped drift car, just going 1/4 of the speed.

My wife's car control is much better than mine and she is the queen of Scandi Flick and can do things on snow in a FWD car I can't even get close to with RWD.

Cool. Not only will he get a new truck, he can file a complaint with department of Insurance and sue for bad faith.

He could have been smoking, drinking, groping, speeding, and swerving and they couldn't deny that claim without risk of getting their balls sued off.

<---Used to audit insurance companies for DOI before they were LDI.

I said video evidence. A video of negligent driving will get a claim denied. Not saying he couldn't appeal, but the default would be to deny the claim, and let the courts play it out if the guy wants to go that route.
