I was up at 4am when I heard the first thunder waiting for our 2 year old twins to wake up. Punks slept til 8, oblivious of the weather. I’ll need a nap today.

My dog wasn't bothered, until we took in a second dog that was scared of thunder. Now the first dog who had no problems for three years, is petrified.

Our black male Lab mix would dive on me or dive right up against me and shake like crazy. He did this when the first faint thundering was heard off in the distance until the last boom petered out. He’d also hide under something if I was not sitting or laying down.

You can fire a 12 gauge over my German shorthair's head all day long while he's pointing a quail or woodcock, but let one clap of thunder go off and that baw shuts it down.

My GSP loves to stand on the patio and watch the weather. Never even a flinch.

This thread makes me miss my guy. He would get scared for bad lightning and would turn into a baby. If there was ever bad lightning and I was home he'd jump up on the couch or bed and get on my lap and shake.
He died last year and even still when there's a crack of lightning I still look and expect him to come running to me.

Speak for yourself. My lab gave zero fricks. Slept the whole time.

My dog dgaf about thunder. The second she hears the battery chirp from the smoke detector she starts trembling and is under you if you’re standing or on you if your sitting or laying down.

Our dog is totally deaf so he sleeps like a baby. Snores right through it.

Our dog is scared of nearly everything, but not guns, fireworks or thunder.

We have a thunder shirt for our dog that is afraid of storms. It does wonders for her.
