One time I had 10-12 people over for a cookout and made two drunken chickens.

I hope you had something else to offer. That's just not enough. It was barely enough for your dog.

My Lab ate an entire 8 piece box of Popeyes spicy chicken. Every crumb was gone. The box was licked clean. That big turd got it as I went upstairs for a quick shower. He followed that with 2 days of shitting every couple of hours.

Yeah, probably not due to the chicken. Feeding raw, frozen chicken pieces to our dogs for 15+ years and never a single issue.

Just pointing out that RAW is possibly very important here. From PetMD:
quote:

Cooked bones should always be off-limits. They become brittle and easily break into sharp shards that can do a lot of damage when they pass through the gastrointestinal tract. Never feed your dog cooked bone

I had a 100-pound Ridgeback get up on the counter and eat 15 pieces of fried chicken one time (not those miniature Popeyes pieces either). I never watched a dog's arse so much in my life waiting for him to shite out a vital organ and a couple of pints of blood. Never happened.

Monitor mood, activity, eating habits, and stool, react if there are significant changes.

feed him lots of bread- the bread can bind and act as an insulator to the bones- as they pass through his system

If chicken was on bones....kill the dog. If just bones perform the Heimlich maneuver.

We regularly throw an entire rotis chicken out to my rotweiller-- it is completely vanished in about 5 minutes.

My black lab eats everything except tomatoes and cantaloupe skin.

His mother lived in a house by the Perkins overpass and every night she would make the rounds at DiGuilios, the Thai Place, Georges and come back looking like she swallowed a watermelon. One night she came back with a white cloth napkin tied around her neck.

Our dogs have eaten things that we are still waiting to come out.

I am convinced they both have an intestinal space-time wormhole.
