We got drug tested for the hiring process, but that’s it. The only other time you get tested is if you get hurt and make a claim.

I work in IT and no they don't test but I don't use drugs so it doesn't matter.

I’ve been working for a bank for the past 8 years. I think they drug tested, but I honestly can’t remember. Drug tests have never been a cause for concern.

We don't do drug tests at my work now. However, I used to deliver narcotics for a pharmacy and we were required to take monthly drug tests due to the cargo we carried.

It seems like there should be a better way to test for weed/THC. If you smoke today, 3 weeks from now it can show up. There should be a THC test that can determine if a person smoked in the last 72 hrs. Most other drugs are only in your system for 72 hrs.

Drug tests can show levels on THC, meaning you can tell how recently a person smoked. There's also a company that created marijuana breathalyzers for on the spot testing (no clue how well they work though)

as a coincidence I ran into a guy at work that said he'd been drug tested twice recently, I had almost forgotten that they even still do it

No. A good number of doctors here would fail if they did

Nope. Haven't had a pre-employment drug screen in several years. Can't even remember the last one it's been so long.
