HR made me get mine signed by my pastor after sending them a few pages worth of documentation on why I was filing the religious exemption.
Pastor Tony Spell is doing God's work on that front.

I have found that not making a verbal fuss over stupid Covid restrictions, and simply disregarding those restrictions, is the best way to avoid compliance.

The verbal part is the main thing. Trust me...the lady at the desk does not care. She (like many of us) are just trying to get through the day at work. Just check in...sit down..and shut up. It's 2023.

Before COVID vaxx:

Not worried about COVID.
Not worried about COVID vaccine adverse effects.

After covid vaxx:

Not worried about COVID.
Worried about heart inflammation and blood clots.

It wasn’t required. They did that to try and deter people submitting religious exemptions. You don’t need a pastor to have strong religious beliefs.

I think you're confusing religious beliefs with philosophical beliefs. If you cite religious beliefs, a large hospital employer can, unfortunately, require you to get the form signed by a pastor of a recognized chartered religion. Louisiana law does have wiggle room for philosophical beliefs as an exemption/accomodation but that becomes iffy when we're talking large hospital employers that are following the CMS mandate...a mandate that unfortunately was upheld by the highest court in the nation.

I’ll never understand why that organization holds the attitude it does about itself.
I can’t think of a city they coexist with another system where I wouldn’t rank them near the bottom.

Do the other area hospitals like our Lady of the Lake and Baton Rouge General require the COVID-19 vaccination for employment?

You’d think Ochsner would be a little more hesitant about new vaccines given their founder’s personal history.

Lake does for sure. I have never done work with General but I would assume they do as well

Almost all hospitals are going to require employee vaccination period, not just for covid

Even the military reversed their decision. Granted I'll call the decision a load of shite because everyone who refused has been given the boot.

On their website it says it is still mandatory, but I see a lot of new employees without the COVID 19 vaccine sticker they give out like they do the flu. SO either it was secretly dropped or a lot of people are getting waivers.

Chicken shite dept of defense and military didn't rescind the shite until AFTER the conservatives won the House. Funny the coincidental timing isn't it? Proves again this was always power and politics over following the science.

Which I understand, but I am asking specifically about the COVID 19 vaccine.

I think it’s safe to assume any hospital you apply for will require the covid vaccine.

Consider the ones that don’t the exception

If the large hospital deals in Medicaid/Medicare insurance billing/reimbursement, which has to be damn near 90% or more of them in some way shape or form, then they adhere to the CMS mandate on Covid vaccines. The CMS mandate is still active although the House is currently trying to get a bill going to overturn.
