From my understanding if a hospital/office accepts medicaid/Medicare as payment they still require the vaccine. Don't know what it'd take for this to go away at this point

It’s not really a facility requirement, but CMS told the hospitals they were going to withhold reimbursement if x% of staff weren’t vaxxed. Got held up in court for a bit but eventually got pushed through.

LCMC
Pretty sure they are still requiring mask at their hospitals and affiliated doctor offices
I went to an LCMC facility for an annual check up last week. They "require" masks but don't enforce the rule. When I checked in, the lady at the desk asked if I had a mask, and I said no. Then she handed me one, and I put it into my pocket and didn't wear it at all the rest of the time I was there. No one said anything to me.
I have found that not making a verbal fuss over stupid Covid restrictions, and simply disregarding those restrictions, is the best way to avoid compliance.

They granted basically every waiver that was applied for
The only people they turned down were the ones being stupid about it

I work in 3 different hospitals in south central louisiana. None require the vax.

Pretty sure they don't. Just file an exemption. They were making these employees test weekly and mask but I'm pretty sure they gave up on it.

Yesterday I got a sigmoidoscopy at a LCMC facility and I did not wear a mask. In fact, the doctor who did the procedure didn't wear a mask.

LCMC requires a mask in patient settings but not just walking around the hospital or elevators/cafeterias etc

Ochsner doesn't require mask for most places. ICU etc and I've seen no one enforce it anywhere really.

What is the justification for vax mandates, knowing that it does nothing to prevent transmission or infection?
Prevent PTO for illness?

The government spent so much money on the vaccines that they're using government funds/payments that Healthcare companies rely on (medicaid/Medicare) as leverage. Now that the precedent has been set I wouldn't doubt if they do the same for other government funded research down the line being mandated for us in Healthcare. Funny part is it's all under the guise of "public safety" in Healthcare settings says the government (while not even entertaining the idea of mandating it for those individuals receiving government assistance, just those working in companies affiliated with).

Correct, they didn’t even try or basically just said they weren’t getting it. All you need to do is mention that your religion is against using fetal cells for shot development or something along those lines. You don’t need a church or anyone to sign it. They will grant the exemption, but may force you to wear a mask when on site.

Some may call that character. It went from stopping the spread to being beneficial to basically not helping at all. What’s next? Being harmful. It’s a slow roll.
