Maybe I’m losing my mind, but there’s somethin about the red stick that I can’t quite put my finger on that always has me defending it when people try to bash it. I really don’t think it’s that bad, that’s MY opinion and I’m entitled to it. Maybe it’s just my love for LSU that keeps me attached to this place.

I love LSU. I love the hospitality, but that goes for most south LA cities. I do not love the city as a whole. Too many things are just backwards and crime. It doesn't help that I was almost shot in the face one time.

I love everything except the garbage everywhere, racism, poor schools, traffic, and poor economy.

Baton Rouge is home, but I’d move in a heartbeat.

I loved it for a while. LSU and the friends I made there kept that alive. As friends moved away and I started working there, I saw the real BR. It’s a shithole.

Used to adore it.

Still has its charms.

Went downhill FAST. Now I wish we lived out of LA completely.

I love the quad. I see so much there, especially on a Tuesday.

Yeah, but I'm only there for 3 days at a time, usually on fall Saturdays. I'd never want to live there

Baton Rouge is a perfect town for guys like me who have Herpes. The initial explanation to women isn't a deal breaker at all. In fact, it's a relief to them in most cases.

Any activity (not involving LSU) you want to do you can find a better place in Louisiana to do it than Baton Rouge.

I think I was blessed to grow up in the area. Lot of top level talent so was able to compete against the best in football which made me better.

Had multiple offers to private schools to play sports but were small 1A types where I wouldn’t play against any talent. Stayed on the tough streets of Baton Rouge and really strived, gained a greater work ethic, and still can ball because of it.

Injuries kept me from getting a shot but I pretty much dominate anything I do know because of growing up in the cities YMCA system and BREC leagues. Texas is better at a lot of things, but not breeding toughness like the Rouge.

I disagree. the Mall of Louisiana and the surrounding shopping are better than anything I’ve came across in LA. Also, Top Golf will be one of a kind for folks in the state. Not sure if Gonzales counts as metro BR, but the shopping there is good too.
