I've been given a few and they're pretty solid for use at the camp and whatnot. Never inquired about buying any..

Far too many calories to eat with any frequency.

I have 20 or so cases that I have collected from hurricanes since rita. I use them a lot for all day hunting trips and when I travel and camp out at state/national parks on multiple day drives.

Ate plenty after Katrina and still have a box in the attic. Man they had tons of those after the storm.

Not bad for backpacking. Otherwise, they are too high in sodium.

Brought a ton to Bonnaroo the year after Katrina. They were a hit, traded some for macrodoses, 4gs of ketamine, 20 lb nitrous tank, and Jerry Rolls on Shakedown.

I had cases upon cases after Katrina. I ate them for weeks. I liked them. Outside doing work. Lunchtime I would kill an mre.

Hate to tell you but they have expiration dates and your’s are most likely way expired.

They were a real treat after Katrina.

There was a young soldier dude staying at the hotel where we were evacuated, and one day he tells my wife,”If you need any help heating them up (using that heater pack), I can show you how to do it.” My wife rsponded, “Oh, we just heat them in the microwave.” He said, “Oh, I didn’t think of that.”

I’m sure he was just trying to bone my milf wife, but the look on the dude’s face showed he legit didn’t realize he could just toss them in the microwave.

But you can't put the retort pack in the microwave when you put a MRE is a bowl the mental flavor goes to shite.
