Sat up one night in Stockholm with my Swedish friend eating Surströmming(canned fermented herring) and drinking aquavit. But I've also had the Spanish canned fish that's really good and canned smoked salmon from Alaska that was great.

Sardines are some of the lowest mercury fish and fish oil is healthy.

But they are packed in seed oils. 99% of the oil you intake from a canned sardine is not fish oil. It's AIDS oil.

Also, sorry if already posted:

I eat a can of sardines packed in water for breakfast. My cholesterol numbers have been great.

Am I the only person who loves to drink the juice from the tuna and salmon cans? I have to fight the cat for it, lol

I mix canned Tuna, Salmon and chicken all canned in a big bowl with mustard, plain greek yogurt, and relish. Mix it up good and pretty good protein and vitamins

Are you watching Matthew Carlson's Canned Fish Files? My husband and I watch him all the time. I thought I had quite the sardine collection, but he finds brands I've never seen in stores. We eat them more in the summer when it's too hot to cook, make a cold smorgasbord thing with a couple tins as the protein. Also my husband likes to scramble them in eggs, pretty good.

I go for the pouches. Easy to carry around.

Fish in a pouch.

Really missing out.

“Mmmm kippered herring“

Haven’t eaten them in a while. Go well with saltines. Wife makes me eat them outside on patio. Might need to pick some up.

Canned salmon on a salad or mixed with mayo and mustard like tuna is a good quick lunch
