If you live in South LA, idk why you would ever think about eating that nasty shite out of a can. You can pull up to any ditch and catch a better eating fish.

I use anchovies in cooking. Sauté a couple of anchovies and cook vegetables in the oil, adds a good salt flavor and umami.

Sardines and herring are good snacks. My Norwegian side of the family loves herring with all of the different sauces. I enjoy canned fishes more as I get older as my taste buds have changed.

Tuna in a can fbsf is line caught

No other fish as a lot comes from China

Also- canned oysters- almost all come from China and they raise them in sewerage ponds.

Canned sardines on sourdough with a splash of lime juice and hot sauce. :chefskiss:

The only downside are the fish burps a couple hours later.

There are some amazing sardine varieties out there, but get why it would not appeal to some.

Anchovies = Yes

Sardines = Yes

Tuna = Yes

These are all canned. I am not on Tic Tac so have no idea if this is what folks are talking about?

Canned seafood is a favorite of mine. I've eaten two cans of mackerel this week. That was actually a first for me, and it was much, much better than I'd imagined canned mackerel would be. I also eat canned anchovies and smoked oysters. Sometimes I'll make something like pasta alfredo and dump a can of anchovies or tuna in it. That's some good eatin', Paw Paw!

Yes to all of those. 2-layer sardines, baby clams and oysters are my favorite.
