Do you use anything you learned in undergrad classes toward real world applications?

Besides life lessons and group project work, do you use any material you learned in college in your day to day work?
I know it's different for engineers and I guess accountants. I was a supply chain major and I use some Excel skills I learned but that's really it.

Not really, but I knew from the beginning that I wasn’t going to. I went to college because it was important to my parents (not that I hold that against them). I just want a job I enjoy that allows me to pay for the things I want. I’m not a lavish person.

Use my Psych class almost every day.One of the most useful classes I ever took.

Engineers definitely do

Better question: What universally required undergrad class does everyone say is useless in the real world post-college?

Not really. I studied IT in the mid to late 90s. Almost nothing I learned is relevant anymore. Maybe relational databases and basic networking

Engineer. Pretty much daily.

I learned touch typing in HS. That's the only thing in my entire education, from kindergarten through postgrad, that was unreservedly practical and beneficial.

Yes, but I graduated with a professional degree.

Business major. Perhaps learned to write more effective business letters in English class. That’s probably about it. Business is learned in the real world.

If you don’t have a Phd you are nobody in this world

Business communications class was the most beneficial to be honest and I think should be required of every college student.

I dissect frogs for a living so science class was very helpful for me.

The only thing I remember from an LSU undergrad class is that the average Soviet woman had nine abortions.
Still waiting for a chance to apply it in life

Not really... College was a waste for me for the most part. Should have done more banking/finance rather than general business stuff.

I was biological engineering. I now work in consulting. I use the biology, chemistry (both organic and inorganic) and differential equations and that’s probably it.
Honestly, I think we need more chemistry majors and fewer chem e’s

The classes I got the most from were higher-level English classes, advanced theory classes, and simple economics.
The ability to read and write beyond my peers has helped me more than any of my core classes.
I can run through a 50-60 page fluffed up report in 10-15 minutes and have a decent understanding of the situation.
I'm also the a-hole who will continue to review the document in a meeting.
