Do you trust USPS to deliver your packages?

If a company’s involved with a union or attached to public funding, how can you trust them? There’s no performance metrics that involve timeliness or missed delivery rates (customers not receiving deliveries/attempted deliveries).

And no consequences.

How many mailmen do we have on here? Show yourself and your tiny shorts.

Ups and fedex have figured out ways to deliver goods at a fraction of the cost of the usps

The usps would be gone if not for subsidies

Depends on the local post office.

70808 was absolute trash when I lived in Baton Rouge.

I have a LOT of problems with 39466.

Other places, I've been able to count on them.

Absolutely not. (USPS employees downvote away)

I've had small packages stolen or lost in the past several months. Mail not delivered or late often. I'm certain 80% are good folks but there are too many rotten, entitled, liberal Democrats in the orchard.

We distrust them so much, that a lost title (which had to be reordered) was sent UPS earlier this week. Broke this camel's back.

I talk to my mail carrier as much as possible. I ask him about his wife and kids. I also give him a nice gift at Christmas, so yes, I do trust he will deliver my mail and packages honestly.

I just had a package that was USPS tracked as delivered to mailbox but really wasn't. Filed a lost message to Post Office. Was probably put in wrong box as i live in a community that has a small box cluster with your address and was probably put in wrong one.

I get other people stuff in my box all the time and take it to them.

Mailman has a lot to deliver and i don't really blame him/

But it was a 35.00 flag,

fedex does it by selling routes to buyers who pay minimum wage to crappy works who steal your crap or leave it at the wrong house routinely.

no. Definitely track shite, and get a receipt.

Though I will say I got my passport renewed recently. Went thru the PO from the pic, money order, and sending it out. Got it back in just less than 2 weeks. So can’t complain about the 2 govt agencies involved there.

Packages? I can’t get my carrier to deliver envelopes properly. She’s been my mailman for over ten years and constantly talks to her girlfriends while walking her route. My mail gets delivered to my neighbors and vice versa, often on different streets several blocks away.

nope. Though I use FedEx as it’s more reliable. Price is not better. And FX overseas support is garbage too. Typical Indian call center response.

Their Indian ceo is taking it down.

I absolutely hate the USPS and will go way out of my way to NOT use them. If I’m looking to buy something online I will go to an alternative source if the first option only offers USPS shipping. If I need to ship something on my dime I will use UPS and don’t even give a frick how much more I’m paying. If I sell anything online I always qualify that shipping is through UPS (frick fedex too) and send it collect to your account or bill you for it. I don’t have any bills that require mailing checks so thank God I don’t have to buy fricking stamps. My family Christmas cards are the only thing that will come from me via the USPS and that’s only because my wife says she can’t find anyone that will ship them via anyone else.

frick the United States postal service.

I ship a ton of packages and USPS is always cheaper for smaller stuff and they get their faster. Can't stand fed ex. Have had packages left out at the road by my driveway on multiple occasions. Large packages, I generally use UPS.

We haven’t had many problems with USPS. Honestly, stuff arrives and goes out pretty smoothly.

Plus, the individual carriers, both at business and at our home, tend to be very friendly and courteous.

One thing I wish Elon Musk would have done is rebuild their IT and logistics.

My cigars routinely come from largely Pennsylvania and Florida. I live in the Midwest. If USPS tracking is to be believed some routes go to Arizona, then Chicago, Des Moines, back to Chicago, sometimes back to Arizona, and finally get to me. I’m not exaggerating either. It is absolutely stunning the routes packages take.

Some computer guy somewhere should be able to help fix that issue.

I have several different mailmen. Some seem to just be running the route for their spouse of friend. They seem to know nothing about delivering mail. Some do not even wear the uniform.

Crazy world.
