Whatever the price of the order is, that’s how much I tip. Only for pick up orders though. 20% whenever I eat in the restaurant

Sometimes they bring it to your car.
If food is ready, hot and I get it curbside 10%. The cook has to eat too.

Tomorrow can you start a "do you tip at Sonic" thread? It's probably been at least five days since we've had that one.

I need a do you tip at the coffee place thread. Think it’s ridiculous that I’m paying that much for coffee and they want a damn tip
Posted on 1/29/19 at 10:21 pm to trom83
This stupid fricking thread again.

Starting this thread should be a ban-able offense.

I send my chauffeur, Jeeves, in to pick up my orders. $100 plus whatever the bill. They seem to like me at Applebee's.

Home delivery: $2-3.00

They now want a tip if you pick up at Domino's. Next they will want one at the Popeye's drive-through.

No, it’s a f***ing to-go order
Posted on 1/30/19 at 6:52 am to trom83
Yes, usually. Usually 10% unless they do something “extra” (bring it to my car, etc) or we have specific requests but I never tip until after I get my food.
If you put my salads (or anything cold) on top of hot food, you get no tip. That’s just lazy.

Just an FYI, some restaurants have people specifically there to do to-go orders. For the 6-8 hours that day, to-go orders are their job. These are regular waiters that still get paid $2.13/hour and rely on tips, but do not get a section that day/night.
Now, I am not saying still tip them 20% but at least a few bucks it deserved. Depending on the restaurant, it's actually harder than having a section if you have a lot of orders (or so I am told by an old lady friend of mine that worked at a popular, causal chain steakhouse in BR).
