Most people don’t have yard men during Christmas, but do you give them, or any other services a Christmas tip/bonus?

Do you give your kids’ teachers gifts?

My wife always gives the teachers gifts, usually a tote for women and a nice candy for male teachers.

My wife and I lost a baby.

My mailman (on his own and by himself) redirected all the crap target, infamil, [you name it baby related] send you to her mothers house to keep my wife from going insane.

He got pulled off our route before I found this out.

I’d buy that dude a fricking car

Also: your mailman knows you better than you think.

I'd give a tip to my USPS people if I ever saw them, deliver every day.

My dad writes merry Christmas on two 10 dollar bills and tapes to the garbage can at Christmas. One for the man on the back and one for the driver. I thought this was odd but it has come in handy a few times when we have more trash or bigger items than will fit in the can. They always pick it up. I’ve seen them leave bags and items that weren’t in the can at other houses.

Yes.

True story, used to leave a 6 pack of Sam Adams for the garbage men for Christmas. One year my wife sled, what if one of them was in AA? Quit the 6 pack and started leaving cash.

No, but when it’s 1,000,000 degrees outside in the summer I’ll leave a cooler with some Gatorade’s.

Also... thanks for reminding me to take my trash out.

I just leave them a box of honey buns with a thank you note when I have lots of garbage. Win-win.

My mail lady s the biggest fricking bitch, but if I lived in some rural place where the mailman was a subcontractor, delivering in his own vehicle, taking pride in his work, did things not expected like taking care of packages (placing them in places where rain can’t get to them, etc), I would tip/gift him.

We just swapped to a new garbage company (Trash Rangers). It’s a small locally owned company. They take pride in what they do. They don’t make a mess, don’t tear up the can, and even pull the can back to my house, not leaving it on the curb.

Our mailman gets out of her truck to pick up my wife’s outgoing packages (t-shirts, embroidery shite, etc), so she’ll probably get a gift this year, because she’s going above and beyond for us

Teachers/staff- yes
Garbage men- no
Bosses- yes
UPS/Fed Ex- no
