I think a more sensible option might be a cellphone app. Once you get the vaccine they update the app to reflect this. It would give useful information about how many people have the vaccine in a given area and then we could start easing restrictions.

It’s actually reverse. If you’ve had the virus or you get the vaccine, then don’t wear a mask (like myself). If you haven’t gotten the virus yet or are nervous about it...wear a mask

Honestly, I can see airlines requiring an immunization record to fly almost like a passport in the future.

The only way you should be marked is this.

Wouldn't surprise me if you have to show proof to get in to a large sporting event or concert.

Sadly that is what is coming. You won’t be able to “xyz” until you can ‘“prove’” you have had the vaccine.

I had that in my OP but took it out because I didn't want to make that connection but it's the only historical one besides the scarlet letter I think there is. Well that and Kim pins in North Korea.

I'm just ready for this to be over.
I'm tired of the masks. That's all. On the other side, I don't trust the vaccine and I've already had covid.
(My last flu was much worse).. and I have hypertension and kidney disease. Only lost sense of taste.

It'll all be guided by cases. Mask wearing will continue to be recommended until there is a marked decrease in overall positive cases, hospitalizations etc.
