I believe it was there 1500 of years ago, when it was first spotted. The story was passed down from generation to generation and people still think they see it on occasion but it died long ago.

This is my belief as well. It may have been the world's last great monster. Died long, long ago though. History, but not ancient history.

I actually went swimming in Loch Ness once back in the 80s. Middle of summer and it was still cold as shite. Makes your bones ache. Water's black too. You can't see anything more than a few inches below the surface.

I did not see a monster.

For quite a few years now, the number of sightings have been few and far between.
