If so why? Also do you think being oppressed means you should become better person in society? Or worse to stand out?

In America? No, I don't think so.

In the world? I'm sure there are many.

The only oppressed people in this country are people who commit to it.

Native Americans from 1492 to present, and there is no NALM to scam money for their cause.

I saw a tweet from the head of the ADL saying that Hollywood needed to increase its diversity by hiring more Jewish actors

I don’t know but all this anti-racism and sexism lately has made me more racist and sexist.

In 2024? No.

A year or more ago I made a list here of all the entitlements the average person in question qualifies for from the time of birth until they're old enough to enter the workforce. I focused specifically on inner-city youth and the lives they lead. The running theme of my list focused on but one requirement from the
individual in question......a modicum of effort. That's all that is required, effort, and maybe giving the slightest of a shite. They aren't oppressed.

The root of the "oppressed" starts with your family life, which is usually a good predictor of what your professional life will be and you can go from there. People from broken homes, regardless of ethnicity, tend to become the "the oppressed."

We know that specific groups of people were oppressed in this country. The only question is what is a reasonable number of generations to overcome/cancel out that oppression?

It seems to differ case by case

All of them? That's some impressive coordination.
