That's the thing. I don't think they were showing off. I think it was just a good way to build stuff in an earthquake zone. The Pyramids are something else entirely. That's really the proof but they won't allow it to be exposed. There's a LOT about the pyramids we're being straight up lied to about. Watch Zahi Hawass on Rogan and tell me you know anything about the Giza Plateau.

In India they have strata layers that are 4 billion years old. There is a layer about 1.5 billion years old that contained traces of material that is only formed by nuclear explosions. In the layers before that they found gold in a purer form then occurs naturally.

Is it possible that a civilization as advanced as us today existed in the deep past? Almost no chance.
Is it possible that there are civilizations that we haven't found yet, or have found and misconceptualize who were more advanced than their contemporaries? Almost guaranteed.
The biggest clue in this, which the alternative historians get so wrong, is the use of stone.

Stones are a good way to build stuff if you're not advanced.
They are not a good material for advanced civilizations. We have a history that we know and can verify 100% to show why stone building is inefficient and not optimal for advancing, industrialized societies. This isn't some mystery that we are speculating about.

Now if you want to argue something like the pyramids show evidence of a prior, non-advanced civilization of a culture prior to ancient Egyptian culture, or a proto-Egyptian culture? That theory can work.
But they were only "advanced" for their contemporaries. Not compared to today.
