She now refuses to even talk politics because it triggers her anxiety.

Lives in a town with pot on every corner and worried about anxiety..

absolutely. Shall not be infringed. Doesn't say shall not be infringed except for felons or people deemed a risk to themselves or others.

I support me in owning a firearm

It will be soon I can petition for my rights back but I don’t know if I will flex my rights and buy a gun. I don’t trust law enforcement enough to not take me in for illegal possession, even if I go through the proper channels.

I just don’t trust some dip shite cop running my name and seeing I have a felony for possession of controlled substance and handcuffing me for ‘felon in possession of a firearm’ without properly investigating that I am in fact carrying legal.

Damn, where to start. If you support red flag laws, you don’t believe in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, in my opinion. And you are opening Pandora’s box by allowing certain persons to use law enforcement to violate Constitutional rights.

Convicted felons are not the same as innocent, law abiding citizens. Part of the punishment for felony convictions is the loss of the ability to legally own a firearm. I would be perfectly fine if that law were repealed. The gotcha parallel attempt here, is just as inane as the “oppose abortion but support the death penalty” hogwash, because those using it continue trying to equate criminals and the law abiding.

If someone is acting irrational and there is concern because that person does have firearms in their home, I don't have a problem at all if law enforcement wants to temporarily take away their guns. Sure there are other weapons they can use, but having a gun makes it a lot easier for them if they want to do some crazy shite.

Well if we can just take away people's constitutional and God-given rights anytime we don't see their rationality, I don't have a problem if we can suspend voting rights for certain people I deem irrational in November 2020.

AH, you may want to rethink that statement. Felons buy guns all the time, just not legally.

I'd venture to guess there's not many corner drug slingers that aren't strapped up with a gun and probably have a felony or six on their rap sheet.

If a felon wants a gun, they will find someone willing to sell them one. It may be one used the night before to kill someone, but that's the chance they are willing to take.

Depends on the crime. Nonviolent crimes do not see a reason their rights to defend themselves should be removed. I mean does not paying taxes a few years mean you are more violent or dangerous to the population? Not really

Even if you had committed a violent crime, your rights should be restored. Either you can re-enter society or you can’t.

I only make exceptions for those convicted of violent sexual crimes. That’s a different animal.

Ok, so tell me how a red flag law is going to stop a felon from buying a gun illegally?

frick you. I am pro-guns. But I don't have a problem with law enforcement to seek temporarily removing someone's guns if they are a possible threat to others or themselves.

My whole point is that there are people out there who is not a threat, but because they are a felon they can't own a gun.. Why is a felon not protected by the constitution? If there is going to be any type of law on gun control, I would rather see it be a temporary situation on people who become a threat to others or themselves..

So talking about politics causes anxiety? She sounds like a narcissist. As if HER politics is that important she isn't able to "deal" with others views.
