Diversity for it's own sake is bad. The diversity needs to have a legitimate reason. Specifically, their needs to be a unifying goal or mindset.

For racial diversity, it's fine as long as the people are concentrating on a specific task. The reason whys its become so commonplace today is an attempt to correct and prevent racial bias in hiring. The issue at hand is that it's gone too far, in that its excluding those who otherwise earned the right to be in those positions.

Also, it should be noted that uniformity (racial or otherwise) is not inherently more effective at promoting the best individuals. It can lead to in-group bias. Ironically it is also prone to collectivist ideologies.

Diversity of skills = good

Quotas to enhance racial diversity doesn’t guarantee either of those 2. Therefore, racial diversity just to “feel good” is probably counterproductive.

I only read half the OP and no other post but Id bet my balls this thread didn't go well. OweO I wonder sometimes if you even know how terrible of a poster you are. I know you hear it often but curious if you get why it's often said.

What does this have to do with diversity?

It is good mostly. I need white women, black, hispanic, jewish, french, asian, greek, african etc in my life to be myself and figure out who I want to marry.

Bruh, don't take this personal. But you are a heroin addict fresh out of jail. It sucks you have to fight that addiction, but you are wasting your time telling me anything.

You made bad choices in life and at times your probably hate yourself. In order to feel better about yourself you have to rip on other people.. So every time you come at me I just laugh.. But a part of me also feels bad for you. So if you really don't like what I post, just shut the frick up and don't even read my threads.
