Diversity in and of itself is neutral.
But people naturally want to be with people like themselves.

To the OP
I see forced diversity as a bad thing but organic diversity is overall a very good thing. Over time those diverse lines begin to fade, few people look down on people with names that start with Mc, end with vowels are have 9 consonants and only one vowel. This does take time and the WASPs weren't exactly thrilled to see the influx of Irish, Italians or Eastern Europeans but it worked out.
As much as I hate the idea of forced diversity it is important to remember that by and large the problem it attempts to remedy was actually caused by forced diversity in the first place. Don't force diverse people to come to your party that don't want to be there and you decrease the probability of having to call the police when your party gets out of hand because of the diversity in cultures.

diversity isn't an issue in terms of race. it's an issue when values are inserted into the mix.
tribalism exists due to traditional values of a group of people, not a race.
its misunderstood every fricking day by liberals, but its a pretty simple concept.
Most people have no problem with XX race, as long as they feel like their traditional values aren't being challenged/eliminated. That's what causes the divisions in the long run.
It's like an in law moving staying at the house. It's not that they take up space, its that they have an opinion on everything from your parenting to your thermostat.

If the Swedes took in other races very gradually, and assimilated them into their culture, they would get the benefits of diversity without the baggage. Massive immigration from shithole countries into first world countries is bad diversity because there is no time to assimilate them, and because there is enough of the immigrants such that they can congregate and not feel the need to assimilate. Thus the shithole cuture infects the superior culture.

Most of the New Orleans French influence came from people straight from France, not from the Acadians. Cajuns were mostly too poor to settle in New Orleans.
