I have a problem with people I’ve never met calling me boss or boss man. I just tell myself most don’t mean anything by it but I know some are saying it with disrespect.

A subcontractor was not following our jobsite rules. We tried to have a conversation with him, he got an attitude. I started calling him "big dawg", and he was not a fan whatsoever

No. I call pretty much everybody bud, bubba, buddy, etc. I'm bad about remembering names.

I don't sweat the small shite. There's no point in getting worked up over somebody calling me bud or buddy.
