Neighbors love it.

Lucky you. I can see my grass already growing the next morning after I just cut it.

It was already here when I bought the house, so I certainly don't take any credit for it. The guy who owned it before put it in and was very proud of it, though

I cut the grass too and I still use gas. The batteries in those things are terrible and the cutting is mediocre at best.

Us old retired fhats need something to do to keep the juices flowing.....I cut my own grass (1.65 acres) and plan on doing it as long as God continues to grace me with good health.

My thought is "great, I'll pay someone to mow my yard; you mow your own yard; I'll frick your wife while you're mowing your yard with the time I saved paying someone to mow mine"

I get paid more per hour than it costs to cut my grass. Why would waste my time doing that...

You work 16 hour days regularly?

I cut my own grass until my kids got old enough. For ten years they did it. When the last of them left home I started paying a landscaper. At that point I could either cut my grass or use the time on my business, and I was making well over $1,000 per hour on my business. And no, I wasn’t working 16 hours per day for seven days per week, but why would I spend my incremental hour of work saving 50 bucks an hour when I could make 20 times that amount?

I push mow my shite like a man. My kids help, but not much. I'll continue to do this until I can't.

I like doing the grass but this is honestly the main reason I don't pay someone to cut my house. Just don't like the way a lawn service makes it look.

I pay a lawn service to cut my office, shop, and new office we're building and I'm sure most people think it's fine but it looks like crap to me.

Somewhat. I'm a CPA so our busy seasons get pretty rough. But I don't make anymore for working longer hours, it actually causes my hourly rate to drop when I work 16 hours in a day.

Damn, that's a pretty good deal. I pay $40. But they are all white. Dumb, but legal.

That only makes sense is you work every hour you’re awake.

Hey if you’re a high earner that’s fine. But I know some middle class that pay for lawn care.

In Houston, it's actually rude to cut your own grass.

I have hired three different people/companies to do my lawn care and all have been absolutely awful. So I had to start doing my own unfortunately.

Our neighbor has a lawn care business. He usually cuts ours at the same time he does his mother’s yard.
