Do you say “Team” when addressing emails at work
No. I type the word “team”. Saying “team” while typing an email doesn’t make any sense.

Sometimes I do read my emails aloud while typing though

I just paste this gif at the beginning of every email so I dont have to worry about typing anything

Yeah,
Using “hi (insert) team,” is my go to.
I think it’s ok, because all work is so team oriented. And you get some of the large email chains with 10 teams on it it can help direct the email accordingly.
“Hi accounting team,
Can you please review....”
“Hi compliance team,
can you verify....”
Etc

No. I’ll usually address to All. Others use Team. I don’t care. It’s a personal preference thing.

Yep, but they no I’m being sarcastic. I usually address them as “you people”.

Do you ever go to work?
Posted on 10/9/19 at 5:49 am to DavidTheGnome
“Team” isn’t me.
Depending on my mood, subject matter, and/or the recipients it could be “All” or “Gents” or “Ladies & Gents” or “Esteemed Colleagues” or “People” or “Folks”.
Usually “All”.

The use of "team" and the absolute fear of using the word "employee" are two of the sillier corporate rules out there.

i do if i am addressing the team i am part of. It just looks better than " hey y'all".

I used to until I had someone complain about it. Now I just use “everyone” or “all”.

I don't understand how these people can say these little catch phrases with a straight face..It's almost like you are witnessing the beginning of a cult..
There was a guy who was the biggest loser. He was always late with his work or it was just flat out wrong. He would send out an email with the word "team" littered through out the message. You knew when everyone was reading it because there was a collective chuckle across the office.

It's about as aggravating as all of the other "buzz word bingo" sayings.

Yes. I find it gets a better response than addressing my reports as "underlings" or "subjects".
It's all about culture.

Nope I’m the boss so I only refer to them as slaves.

I use y'all, but everyone else in my company uses team. To me it's impersonal.

I usually start formal emails with a Yo Yo Yo! To lighten the mood you know what I'm sayin'
