No. My neighbor does, and the yard crew comes in with a huge mower and a guy stands in the back of it. A couple times they've gone up my driveway and crossed to my neighbor's yard through mine when the ground was wet and gouged out ruts because my driveway has is lower than the neighbor's property by 3-4 feet, so it's a relatively steep incline in a short 8' span of yard. I talked to the neighbor, who is a single retired female and told her they are destroying my yard. The next two weeks they did it again, and dug out grass and left ruts in my yard and here from recent rain. I contacted the landscaping company with a letter sent by UPS requiring a signature. Let them know that if it continues that I will trespass them and call the police to cite them. The owner called and apologized. I told him that his crew was destroying her yard with the heavy mower and recommended that the crew use the lighter walk behind mowers. Ever since then, they stay off my yard and use the lighter, smaller mowers in her yard now.

You’re kind of a Tard. I know what the going rate for my time at work is, and I know what the going rate for paying to have my lawn mowed happens to be. When I’m not working, I know how much I value the things that I enjoy doing, and paying to have my lawn mowed is far, far cheaper than the value of my work hour and the value I put on my free time. Call that pretentious all you want, but that’s only because you attribute some warped moral virtue to mowing grass. It’s odd, but you do you.

Actually, he is exactly right. There is no moral virtue. I don’t like wasting my money on something I am more than capable of doing myself, that I enjoy and it doesn’t take that long.

My lawn guy is white and all his employees are white, he's MAGA. Some of them look like they are living in a halfway house and might smoke meth, but at least they are American citizens doing work that "Americans don't want to do".

Yes. $40 a cut.

Big yard on a hill. Someone else can handle the job.

I'm about to. It's too damn hot and I'm too short on time to plan to hydrate, be out there for 2 hours, and then spend the rest of the night exhausted.

Nah, I cut it. It's fun cranking up that big zero turn and racing around the yard making sharp turns. The Mrs doesn't like the chunks I cut up making those turns

I did when I lived in my starter house.. My mortgage and escrow was $600 a month and I was making some good money (early 2000's).. The only problem the guy would call me at 4 in the morning to let me know he was coming to cut that day and to make sure the check was in the mailbox.. He was an old Black dude and I tried to tell not to call me that early and he would say ok.. Next time I would get the call at 4 am.. I just turned off the volume and let it go to voice mail... Now I cut the grass myself... I hate it and let the backyard go way too long which makes it more of a PITA...

I pay someone to do most things.

I’d rather play golf than cut grass.
