This explains why you're on TD often and at all hours.

Started a commercial construction business almost a yr ago with a partner. Scary as hell and we still have a lot to figure out in terms of streamlining all facets, but it's been amazing so far. Primarily focused on business development and strong execution right now. We're going to exceed our first yr volume goal..may blow it out of the water if a few things get turned loose. One thing I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt is I can't imagine having to go back to work for someone else. Working just as hard as always, but watching that bank account grow knowing I'm building something of my own and setting myself/my family up for the long term is pretty amazing.

I love construction in general...love trying to solve problems and building.

Also, having full autonomy is hard to beat.

I love my job.

I took roughly a 50k/year pay cut, after OT and all, leaving the operator life behind.

But I don't dread getting up for work in the mornings.

Yeah, I like my job...any job that I dislike, I usually don't stay around for very long.

I can't say I have ever found a job that I loved, as I wouldn't do any of them for free.

I work with interesting people and get to travel the world so overall yes.

A lot of days specifically when we have to sit through mandatory training I want to just get on my bike and go AWOL.

I love my job. We all spend too much time working to not enjoy what you do.

I really have a great job, I'm probably overpaid for what I do, don't have much pressure to generate outlandish numbers, and I have all kinds of freedom. All that said, I can't say I "love" what I do but I'm thankful everyday for what I have and am disinterested with every headhunter who calls me.

I wouldnt wish my job on anyone. I hate the constant bullshite that comes with it. Its really great pay so now Im stuck at trying to look elsewhere where I would still make enough to support my family. My wife is ok with me leaving for much lower pay but my employment will always be stable so I have to be very careful about leaving for something new.

The thing that sucks is I work for a really great company and love the actual company. Unfortunately, there are a few VP's who are truly holding the company back and they will never leave until its time for them to retire. I figure I can find something I like alot sooner than they will leave.

I've always been kind of lost when it comes to my career. After a few entrepreneurial adventures, I've rejoined the "normal" workforce part time. I do currently love my job - no stress and constantly busy so my workday flies by. I'm not sure it will sustain me for the long haul, but it'll do for now.

Great pay, great co-workers, but horrible management and super stressful. 18 months ago we had 12 engineers in my group, now we have 7. Hopefully in 5-6 years when my kids are out of college I can move to a better company with a lot less stress and make it on 20% less pay.

Currently no, only reason I'm still here is because I don't want my resume to look like shite from two previous jobs I left each for better money and career growth after less than a year.
