I love being a nurse and love the kids and families I care for....but am not happy where I work at now. I leave work physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted just about every shift I work now. Actually just submitted an application for another job in the hospital. Fingers crossed I get an interview. I need a change badly. Got too many personal stressors in my life right now, if I can find a job where I'm not as stressed at work as well that would be a huge help.

Most people I just graduated b-school with (myself included), where hoping to land their dream job.
Most of us are a bit disillusioned and unhappy right now. At the end of the day (with of course a few exceptions), the perfect job doesn't exist. Money, hours, and stress are all directly correlated. I've finally come to the conclusion that no matter what -- it's a means to an end.

My goal was always to work in the music business or show business, so to actually is a dream come true. Can be hard on relationships, but every job is different and a creative challenge. And the money is up there.

Yeah reality hits you in the face when they tell your making great money only to get that first check and have taxes, benefits etc.. taken out . Life aint easy thats for sure especially when we have so many people living off our hard earned money these days!

Love most of it. Get bored with some of it.
Love the freedom, ebb and flow of the year, and always trying to figure out a better way to do something.
I enjoy the planning and going to meetings/conferences during the offseason, then the planting of the crop, day to day during the growing season, and harvest.
Tillage work, shop work, and loading out grain get old.

Offshore has provided me with an amazing career. It's getting a little old now after 19 years. I've missed a lot but provided my wife and kids with all of what hey need and most of what they want. Other than being gone from home, I'd have to say I enjoy my job!

I absolutely hate my job. pay is crap, management is crap, no advancement opportunities, and i feel like im wasting my life. I have been here for 10 years since I was 18 and I still work in the same position doing the same mindless work everyday. But like my momma always says, at least you're working!

I used to be the operations manager for a large adventure tour company that had ops all over Alaska and the Seattle area. Too many hours and a job came available with the State as one of the managers for the Ferry system. Not as much money, but very relaxing job. Basically dealing with a port, talking to the vessels coming into port via marine radio and the passengers going out, and managing the staff. Lots of wildlife in the bay and a very serene setting between ships
It's pretty much my dream job.

Love it. Challenging problems to work through every day. Every case is different and comes with a unique set of circumstances. Rewarding when it works out like I want it to - esp when it brings someone happiness through an outcome they thought was not possible.
