We have a guy. He's full of himself, thinks he knows everything and is just plain ignorant.
Everyone shits on him to his face, and he's just so full of himself and ignorant that it just goes over his head and doesn't affect him. Anyone else have someone in the office that is hated by pretty much everyone
There is someone that reminds me so much of this, I just can’t put my finger on it

Owner's wife. She micromanages, is demanding, and wants things done her way, which would be ok if she knew what she was doing.
Unless you're the owner I have a legit solution to this: do it exactly the way she wants and she can live with the consequences.

I've yet to see and owners wife who was not a biatch. The owners are usually great people and for some reason put the wife in charge of finance and payroll. They don't have any experience beyond making bank deposits but think they are economic geniuses. The worst or doctors or dentist who let the wife manage the office. Universally disliked by every employee and probably accounts for the large turnover in staff.

The funny thing is, the company was founded by a husband and wife, but they got divorced. The ex runs the day to day operations and is a great boss in all regards. The husband runs the technical side of things (it's a construction/engineering company). His new wife is the PITA and is a project manager. To say the dynamic is a little weird here sometimes is an understatement

Work from home
It’s just me & my dog
He’s pretty awesome
Used to work in the office and we had the bragger, no matter what subject came up he had one better. Dude drove a ford Taurus but claimed he was raised on a cattle ranch and was a millionaire.
Everyone despised him.
Now he's married to an arse ugly woman who made him sign a prenup

My boss is a real life Michael Scott. I don't hate him.. I just find him difficult to deal with. He at least means well.
We do have a lady that everyone hates, though. She lost a little bit of weight and now wears short arse dresses where you can almost see her cooch. She is constantly talking shite about everyone but is oblivious that the entire office hates her.
Sounds like you work at a titty bar billy.
We have one girl that most people get annoyed with. She really does mean well, her mom was just a crazy bitch raising her so she doesn't really know how not to come across as a know-it-all and kind of bitchy.

Obviously, I am that guy.
But seriously, yes. I think every office has that one guy. The one in mine.. His life consist of two things. Fishing and listening to Rush Limbaugh. Before anyone says "sounds like my kind of guy". Trust me. He isn't. He thinks he knows more than anyone when it comes to fishing.
He will lecture people on how people think fishing is about "being lucky", but how there is much more to it than that. He will then start talking about there is a reason the pro fisherman are able to have success.. Of course.. Instead of saying "pro fisherman" he will name them as if they are household names.
Then he will tell you about bait. Its like Bubba on Forrest Gump when he starts naming all the different baits.
As for as listening to Rush. Sounds like your kind of guy because you listen to him as well? No. He understands what Rush is saying better than you. And you can be talking about fruit flies and he will find away to work in something Rush Limbaugh says and he always starts with "Like Rush said the other day.......".
And evidently if you work on a project with him, he knows more about everyone's job than anyone else.

Not really, which is good because I work in a small office. I'm kind of the outcast though because I don't really like going to lunch with any of them, and I tend to keep to myself. I rarely even get asked if I want to join any of them for lunch because I've declined so many invites, which is fine with me. I like all of them though, and as far as I know they all like me.

Damn, I hate to break it to you... You are the guy.

Not technically in my office, but yes. Almost everyone dislikes working with this person, they will schmooze to the partners, lie to make themselves look good, use others to look competent and they are positioning themselves to run the whole group.
Other senior people have said they will quit if this person is made the overall group manager (of about 30 engineers). She would single handily destroy what others have built over 30 years in a year or two. Somehow this person has a firm grip on power, and only seems to be expanding her influence. It's a shame because outside of this one person, it's pretty much Shangri La.
By moving further away to a startup office, I now have to deal with this person more often. It's a cruel joke. Had I known it would go down like this, I never would have signed up for the move.

There's always a guy no one likes.
What is interesting is if that person is let go, they are immediately replaced by someone else. No one new even has to be hired. Someone always fills the role.
There maybe legit complaints but mostly people are petty dicks who are going to find someone to complain about.

Yeah
It’s me
I’m okay with it, though. Everyone else is lazy and stupid.
