I'm going to hope this is a troll considering you have 81 posts. But if it's not, I would easily choose hanging out with a gay man or woman over you any day of the week. Your sexual orientation doesn't make you a shitty person to hang out with, but being an a-hole certainly does.

I used to hang out with this one bi dude before he came out, are pot brownies at my place with his girlfriend all the time

I've been friends with or worked with several gay guys over the years. Never been tight with any lesbians, but men don't tend to be buddies with chicks.
Two brothers I've known for decades always come to mind when folks say gays marrying will destroy the institution of marriage.
Gay brother has been in a committed relationship with one partner for over 20 years. No drama.
Straight brother has been divorced three times, wrecked another couple's marriage by cheating with the wife, and had cops come to the house for domestic violence.

At my last job my 2 immediate superiors were both gay (not with each other). I would always joke that I was the only straight guy to be on our shift. One just recently got engaged and the other is kinda a player. Hung out with both of them a good bit and they're both awesome people. You'd never know they were gay unless they told you. They'll both be at my wedding next month.
Not awkward at all, but I do throw gay jokes at them all the time because they have a sense of humor about it.

Until responding to this I forgot I have gay friends. Meaning I'm so used to it I have to reflect and count just to differentiate the straight from the gay. I don't go one day without interacting with someone who is "gay"

my girlfriend is a ballerina. literally 99% of the guys she meets/befriends are gay.
my agent is gay.
a lot of the best people i've ever met are gay.
some of my best friends are gay.
they're wonderful people. the gay guys are just like girl friends. the gay girls are super sweet and like hanging with dudes (who don't want to sleep with you). one of them throws the tightest spiral and is one of the best flag football players i've ever met.
try hanging out with them.
