I erase 75% of my post after typing and right before I hit Submit…and I’m still a moron…without the inner dialogue, holy shite.

So you are not really you on here, I understand, but then again I don't. What are you afraid of?

Mine won't STFU, so I find it interesting that so many walk around with no inner dialogue happening.

You think that's bad, mine rhymes

I say “yes” to this question but my inner voice said “no”.

I’m very thoughtful, just most of the time that’s either antisocial or passive aggressive. No one wants to hear that shite. This is a social setting.

my husband narrates his "internal" dialogue but out loud. Every word, no filter. Just now he told me he was going to get his bagel in the toaster. He is currently in the kitchen saying "I know there is cream cheese in here somewhere". I'm certain he will sit down and say how crunchy this bagel is and how much he likes the new bagel place before telling me that he's getting up to poop... etc... You get the picture. He's unaware he even does this. There is literally no quiet in my life.

Not to be negative, but watch out for him and the simps that will ask you for nudes on here. Seriously take care of yourself.

People who have internal dialogues are on a higher plane of existence and are able to communicate with their spirit separately from their physical being.

Everyone is capable of it, but many people ignore it because they don’t like to hear what they are being told.

In today’s world, it is referred to as having a conscience

There's a direct correlation between talking to yourself and higher IQs (I can't find the study).

It's also important to note that internal dialog can at times be subconscious and can shape behavior. The key is being aware when it's occurring.

There was a book called in the Inner game of tennis and the author spent a good bit of the book explaining how a negative inner dialog shapes a tennis game.

One of the side effects of the reanimation process. I also have trouble with THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE

Sidenote: there are also people who can't conjure up images in their head. Which is as wild to me as not having an inner monologue

Then I'm a genius. Ask me anything.

I love this one! He talks about focusing on the sound of the ball hitting your racket and then it bouncing on the court to quiet your brain. It absolutely works. Kind of like putting yourself into a tennis trance.

My inner dialogue is screaming thoughts that if my wife heard, she'd leave me, if my company heard, they'd file a restraining order and fire me, and my would leave my mother entirely disappointed in me.

It's a miracle only a fraction of my diluted inner dialogue slip out on occasion.

Until this moment I didn’t realize there were people who don’t have an inner dialogue going on almost constantly.
I don't think they exist. I think they simply don't understand what this means and they do actually have one. Is there a test?

Mine often takes the form of short vignettes showing scenes of my life, but played out differently, or things that have never happened.
