Maybe your friend wants to frick the waitress.

I would throw down an extra $2.13 for one of my boys to get laid. Was this your first meal at a sit down restaurant?

What other people do with their money is really their business, don't you think?

And your "principles" have you here bitching about $2.13.

Either way -- I used to go to the Chimes while in college for lunch. Back then, the lunch special was usually a nice plate of food (seafood pasta, etc) and salad for only $7 or something like that. The bill with tax was around $7.50, but I felt like an arse leaving $1.50, so I usually rounded it up to $10 total. That meant a tip percentage of 33%. Was I being "extravagant" in my spending here?

This is anecdotal and something I would do, too. The guy I'm talking about would tip $5 on a $7.50 bill.

I vary my tip depending on the quality of service. Average service gets 20%. Below average usually gets 20%. Really bad service (if I have to talk to a manager) gets 10%. Good service and exceptional service I'll tip up to 33%

I tipped $10 on $28-something last night because I didn't feel like doing math

Nothing wrong with this. Most table service deserves at least $5. The server put in almost the same amount of work whether your check was $7.50 or $20. Now tipping 50% on a $100 check is a big difference

You haven't? If I can't get my food or drinks, or if I get served the wrong food and the server can't fix it, then yea I'll talk to a manager. Rarely happens though unless you go to shitty restaurants

I usually pay for the entire meal, and the next man up pays for the next meal. If you can't do this, you should probably make a sandwich at home, instead.

My friends tip like they are 12 year old kids eating out for the first time. I'm not coordinating with them and getting spit in my food. They are the assholes, not me
