Hopping back up to the OP, I’m disappointed in the lack of intellectual and hermeneutical rigor of our friendly parishioners (I won’t call you parochial due to the negative connotations shades of that term carry). I would love to engage in the issues I’ve raised here. So far I’ve just been told I have a small penis and that i am an idiot.

I’ll grant you, this ad hominems were communicated in the vulgar, so I guess we’re making progress.

Dad (No pics) was a professor at LSU in a biological science field. Dad did studies and research and there was always a microscope, slides, etc at home. Kept communion in my mouth all the way home which was not that far. Host was sanctified. Material under scope still had cell walls thus plant cells not animal cells. Don’t practice Catholicism obviously enough.

I never have. I took the tonsure and wouldn’t want to veil that virtue signal.

I seldom, if ever comment or engage in debating people over the internet, but feel compled to speak in support of my Catholic faith

This is just one example, and goes into the scientific testing done. There are countless other examples, every single one being AB blood, from the the living left ventricle showing stress marker thst would be evident of the Passion.

Ehhhh. No. It's a man-made ceremony. If that's your tradition, fine, but there's no reason to be ashamed if you don't do it. Every person has their own individual connection with God. A church is just a building.

Then be specific before you get sanctimonious.

No. As a fellow Catholic, I have not been to confession in probably 11 years.

Not receiving communion under those circumstances

I’m not in the cult. When I go to support my kids when the cult has them read at School Mass, I don’t bow and kneel either, and I sneak out the back when their part is done. Nobody will shame me for it. I am shameless.

go walk through the communion line with them when I go to service at the Catholic church so that my child and I can get a blessing. Am I sad that you have to be Catholic to get holy communion at the Catholic church? A little. At all the churches I grew up in and still attend, the table is open to everyone, just as Jesus would have done it. I guess that's one of the main beefs between Catholics and Protestants though, along with many others.

My wife and our two boys are Catholic. I was baptized in a Presbyterian church. I don't agree with this rule about communion, but I respect it and don't take communion. I go to mass most Sundays and donate to our church, but I'm not converting.

You know you can walk right down the street to your nearest Catholic Church and ask to have your marriage blessed...you don't have to go back to Mexico

Uhhh no you can’t. It’s not bringing in your marriage license and having them sprinkle some holy water on it. You have to go through all the pre-marriage precana bs. Go to a retreat for a weekend, etc. We’ve already met with a priest about doing it. I’ve been married 20 years, f all that

It actually is. Getting it blessed doesn’t mean having another marriage ceremony

Getting it “blessed” means doing all the pre marriage catholic things u skipped out on the first time

Why should I be embarrassed for not subscribing to specific set of beliefs?
You mean where Jesus mentions multiple times in the Bible to “eat his flesh”?

Matthew 26 “ Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”

Mark 14 “And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.”

1 Corinthians “The Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread,
24 and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”l
26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.

Jesus also told Peter in the Bible to start a church. That church would be the Catholic Church. Every other church someone else made up.
