Just dont inhale

Being an ex-smoker too, this is not as easy as it may seem. Make sure you do not inhale on every single puff until it become habit. It is no fun to do it.

I dislike cigars but enjoy a tobacco pipe. You have more choice on the type of tobacco you smoke in a tobacco pipe plus you get some that smells good and people don't mind you smoking near them.

This. Pipe Tobacco is to cigarettes what a Lexus is to a Ford Pinto.

No matter how much I brush, waterpik, and rinse with mouthwash before going to bed, I still wake up with awful aftertaste.

I like a cigar from time to time, but this is the major con against them.

I love smoking a pipe but only do it during duck season so that it doesn't become a habit.

This is why I rarely smoke one. I enjoy the actual smoking time, but the aftertaste is usually a deal-breaker for me. There is nothing that gets the taste out and it gets worse with time before it gets better.

I smoke a few cigars a week. Once finished, it's straight to the shower after flossing, brushing, and rinsing with Listerine. Even then, you'll have a hint of the smell, so I don't smoke unless I'm done for the day.

Cheap cigars are very often shitty. You don't have to spend a ton of money to buy decent cigars. Get on a website like cigarpage or Holts and buy a sampler or two. Once you know whether your palate prefers Connecticuts, maduros, or something in between, then you can start looking for the size and shape you like.

One of my favorite cigars is a CAO MX2. It's a maduro with hints of cocoa, and the quality is always there in the smoke. A robusto goes for about $5. I don't really do flavored cigars, but those are out there too. Everything from coffee to chocolate.

Love cigars.

Why buy cheap? There are plenty of places you can solid sampler packs online that won't break the bank. Cigar.com, Cigar Internation, etc.

DO NOT BUY FROM THOMPSON CIGARS.

Been my experience too. They push you into a subscription type deal, a club, where they send you cigars automatically. Customer service is not good. I used them for about 3 weeks. I've had good luck with cigarpage. Selection isn't as good as CA and probably Holts too, but I like them.

I enjoy the smell of a pipe but, find it hard to keep one lit. I thought it was just me but, have had multiple people tell me they got tired of having to constantly relight also.

Been trying it for a while now, because the smoke is much more palatable for those around you than cigar smoke. I've pretty much experienced the same. Apparently with time, this will improve. Hasn't improved for me yet, in 4 months. Lots of variables. The pipe, the tobacco chosen, the packing and lighting process, and then how you draw on the pipe.

Y'all,
Thompson Cigars have been part of Cigar International for about five years or so, now. All the shady practices went by the wayside. They ship from the same address in Bethlehem, PA

Drink something with citric acid in it, like tonic water, after you smoke a cigar it'll kill off a lot of "cigar mouth". If that doesn't cut it, do a peroxide rinse or use a mouthwash with peroxide in it. You could use a tongue scraper as well.

Or you could do all three, though that's usually overkill.
