Started using my phone instead of my card unless I need to get some cash. I like to have cash for the aforementioned reasons and if the card reader is flaky, I just pay in cash because I don't want to hold up the line.

Both. Cash for simple transactions with small business (credit card fees are a bitch for many) and cash for emergencies

A card for large purchases but usually just $20-$40 in cash at the most.

Both, but very little cash. Kids are always hitting me up for a random $20 for stupid stuff.
