These are not nearly as secure as you think them to be. NFC fields can be replicated by devices like a flipper zero to get access to all sorts of things.

I’m not so sure of this as the chip is tied. Not a single example of the keys being cloned.

Don’t need a key. I have guys up on the wall that recognize me.

Yes.

My driveway gate is programmed to my vehicle's universal garage door opener, but I only have a car port connected to my house, rather than a full garage. I don't think I'd ever have anyone jump my gate to try to get into my house, but I don't chance it.

I could also leave my vehicle key fob in my vehicle because I can get into it without using the fob, but if I'm already carrying my house key, they are connected.

My car doesn’t need a key and has the garage codes programmed.

As a fall back, the garage door and exterior doors have Bluetooth or button codes.

Nope. Don't lock the back door typically. House is 200 feet off the road and surrounded by guard dogs. We need to be here if you want to visit.

Every time you tap your cellphone or card to a touch less device a signal is sent and received to the device in question. If someone were to record that information it's not impossible to think it can be replicated.

Eta: YouTube video of a flipper zero

Go on YouTube and look up flipper zero there's all sorts of videos of people doing wild things with it.

Yes, but I haven't used it in the 3 years we've lived in our current house. Our door has a keypad, but it's battery operated. I don't want to be fricked if the batteries die.

Do you carry a key to your house?
Of course I do. I'm not sleeping in the front yard

I carry 1 key, and it’s for the front and rear door to my house. I have a little Quiet Carry Shorty knife and key organizer, that only carries the one key plus a little multitool.

My phone serves as my car key and I have keypad deadbolts on my garage and basement doors. If I need to take my wife’s car then I grab the fob.

I want to eventually put smart locks on the other doors. They currently have the jimmy-proof style deadbolts which don’t have smart options (elegant ones at least), so the project of modifying them is more involved than what I want to deal with right now for an extremely minor convenience. I would probably still carry the 1 key as a backup in case of technical problems.

I think one of my set of keys has a house key on it. But I don't lock the door unless I'm out of town for a few days.

I have all my doors and windows booby trapped with shotguns and grenades. Leave them unlocked with cameras live-streamed to my phone for entertainment purposes.

Even if it's possible why would someone target you specifically for this? Sounds like something that 99.99% of people shouldn't worry about.

I think I have one on my key ring.

My keypad I installed a few years back is awesome tho. I couldn’t imagine not having one now.

If someone had access to your house based on how you arranged your security, would you want to know? Most people I think would say yes.
