Do u put potoato salad in your bowl of gumbo?

See a lot of people eat it like that. Seems like such a weird combo.

WTF? No, man. Hell no. I think you'd get your arse kicked around here for something like that.

No okra (I know, not really gumbo without okra, but the slime is just too risky).

No tomatoes.

No potatoes/potato salad of any kind.

No boiled eggs.

It's gumbo, not a science experiment.

I don't like potato salad, so I don't do it. But everyone I know that does still puts rice in their gumbo. Just a little potato salad on the side (but in the bowl)
