Nah. Put my tater salad in the ice box to get cold before eating.

Yes. But again, I'm not a communist Yankee.

That's what I do. Didn't do that at first but saw a coworker from "down the bayou" do that once and decided to try it. Almost always do it now.

never tried it, but now I must. I would think you would want it homemade as that store shite is too moist.
I like to make jambalaya and potato salad the day before I smoke a brisket and ribs. The flavors marinate and enhance over night in the fridge. When your meat is done the next day you get a scoop of jambalaya and tater salad on the side with a block of cheddar cheese.

I already hate okra.
putting potato salad into it would mean I could not even act polite when someone served gumbo.
blessedly, I have never seen such a thing.

Don't put potato salad IN the gumbo. Many westbankers put their gumbo over potato salad instead of rice, and it is good that way.
This weekend people were putting my seafood gumbo over corn-grits at a party. I had to try it and approved.

Both potato salad and gumbo are gross. So my answer is no.

I promise you that you would like my mother's seafood gumbo. 100 percent guarantee. If not, I don't know what to do with you.
