Many businesses around here are shut down for the day. I'd figure the work from home crowd can still check in and get work done.

Not us. If you lose power you have to take the day off too.

Yep. We’re expected to work though anything. I’ll take it though for the benefit of WFH.

During COVID, everyone was set up with what they needed to work from home.

We got back to the office quick, but everyone still has the work from home set up.

So in addition to everything else, COVID killed the snow day forever.

Yes it did. And hurricane days barring loss of power. The alternative though is to make the decision to go in when they say “office open, use your best judgment.” I always went in. Now I don’t. I’ll remote.

Don’t understand how people work from home with kids around. It’s a fricking nightmare.

Naw, the work industry seems to be at it's lowest performance ever.

WFH is one of the reasons why. Supervisors talk. Real world talk, not internet crap.

I've never met a director/supervisor happy with WFH.

Could be anectdotal, but I doubt it.

Pleas provide an hour by hour summary of your work completed today. And do not go offline for more than 15 mins

this is because their bosses realized work was getting done without them standing over shoulders and they're scared

I mean yeah, remote means you can work from anywhere. That’s the deal.

If there’s 12 feet of ice and snow outside I’m still working as long as I have power.

WFH works very well for us, we are a very small company that has no need for an office
I’m sure we are not the norm

I’m glad I’m working today after being off yesterday, too many days off messes up my routine

I'll go ahead and give it to you now.
8-5 : nothing.

We're off today. For once, I get off. I never worked from home.
The wife, however, is supposed to be working but just started watching an hour long TV show. Lol
