They work well, but high traffic volumes result in congestion.
The double one at Walker was a little wacky during construction.

Can you imagine if they built this little gem in LA?

Yes ,but many people in South LA are too stupid to understand the concept.

The only issue is with 18-wheeler and bus traffic when they don't make the roundabout wide enough for them to navigate, requiring them to stop and back up or drift into the other lanes.

Roundabouts are useful in some places and problematic in others.

They can be designed to handle big volume but most around here are single double lane. If the traffic flows are balanced coming into the intersection, it helps.

It's also a safety enhancement since the accidents are less severe, lower fatality potential. Side swipes vs. T-bone.

It does seem like some NWO type eurotrash they are ramming down our throats. Funny thing is though that Europe and the UK are actually starting to change some of their smaller roundabouts to signalized intersections.

The Feds are throwing loads of money at state highway departments to convert small signalized intersections into roundabouts.

In Orlando we have loads now. Also we have a lot of drunks driving into the planters and fountains in the center.

I guess in 20 years when traffic gets worse we'll have to convert back to signalized to get adequate flows.

We seem to be following about 20 years behind the eurotrash. Took us about 20 years to see Kraftwerk with The Crystal Method. Seems about right. So it would follow that in 30 years the Russians will start loading up with roundabouts.

Roundabouts are the business backpacks of the traffic interchange. Gay. For douchebags driving Minis, Fiats and Smartcars, smoking Gauloises and wreaking of b.o. and cologne.

Roundabouts are one thing that should've been held up in customs.

Thank you. At least I'm not the only person awake to what's going on.

Wait until y'all see divergent diamond intersections at intersections. They're awesome. But y'all will still lose your shite.

If diverging diamonds are designed well, you don't even notice anything's different until you're on the other side. Then you're like, wtf just happened?

The multi-lane ones work well too if the average IQ of the drivers using it is over 80.

That one is pretty messed up but they took dysfunction junction in Glenwood Springs, CO and made it dysfunction roundabout. The roundabout part is fine but they decided to include a traffic light and sort of half roundabout into the onto the south side of the roundabout. It's confusing at first.

I'm convinced there were drivers in Louisiana that got their feet stuck in the steering wheel when the headlight dimmer switch moved from the floorboard to the steering column.

Yeah that one had me scratching my head at first. It used to be fully signalized, didn't it?
