You are saying that we who don't want politics in sports are saying that because we have been afforded the privilege of never having been through what a black person has been through in life. I am disagreeing with that statement. One (white or black) can agree with the protest, can agree with cause, may even contribute to it, and still want it to be separate from certain aspects of life (sports, work, etc.) So I will ask you again, how do explain that rationale of privilege to a black person who doesn't want politics in sports?

I’m not going to contribute to the disrespecting of my country by tuning in, I can tell you that. It will go off as fast as I can change the channel, no matter if it’s my team or not my team. They will not receive my approval or financial contribution in viewership. I’ll watch the rodeo if they’re the last vestige of America left. Don’t give shite one about anyone who disrespects this country or what it stands for, which BTW, is the very thing they’re bitching about, so it’s pretty fricking ironic to disrespect that which stands for what you’re bitching about not receiving as if championing justice and freedom and liberty Is not enough. You have to be perfect in order to champion it. Good luck with that.

I care because it seams the announcers don't stop talking about it during the broadcast. I rarely begin watching the games before they start, and don't want to hear political BS during the game, even if I agree with their viewpoint.
Place the national anthem segment in before the players take the field and they'd have the opportunity to kneel would vanish like a fart in the wind.
