People are very uninformed.

Talked to someone yesterday who made her own mask and sewed in a HEPA filter. She claimed it would stop her from acquiring da Rona. She had no idea that the "experts" who want you wear a mask, are saying this to keep YOU from passing it to someone else.

It was a rhetorical question based on the logic behind wearing the masks in the first place. Mandie thinks it’s a simple measure to protect those around you and if you don’t you’re being the most callous person imaginable. Well, other PPE and behaviors “work” too. If it protects just ONE person from getting it, that logic applies.

You ignored the point completely (which is how you always form arguments). What situation are we in now that requires any changes at all? What about simple washing hands more often and social distancing hasn’t worked? Do you not think we are ready for phase one?

She also was clueless why it's a bad idea for the government to keep printing money and UAB was the bad guy because they are laying off 300 people and reducing wages on the others. On one hand you say we don't need to change and then say we need to change to phase 1? You can't have it both ways. Can policies change as the situation changes or not?
