There was some interview I saw a couple of years ago promoting some film. The interviewer asked the lead actress something like "So do you think audiences don't take this movie seriously because you're good-looking but your male co-star is kind of a schlub?"

Turned out he was her s/o off the set too and she wasn't shy about setting the record straight.
