Yes. I buy them at Autozone. Having black shite under my nails for days after working on my vehicle sucks.

Latex gloves only needed for small two stroke engines.

Yes I do. Most of the time. Or mechanics gloves depending on what I’m doing. I didn’t used to but I don’t need greasy hands for days.

I use mechanic’s gloves and sometimes the nitrile gloves.

Exactly reason why I will put on some nitrile. No one wants me handling their food with greasy nails

No, I can't stand working on stuff with gloves. At work if I'm rebuilding a pump in the shop I won't wear gloves either.

Why would you wear gloves when working on a vehicle? I guess if you are scared of drinking from a garden hose or wore masks thinking they would keep you from getting covid you would. Give me grease under my finger nails and a dash of gas and Lava soap or a shot of WD 40 to clean the rest of me up. I heard of some pansy wearing them to gut a deer.I guess if I were in the business of doing prostate exams or if I were a soy boyI would wear them

Latex gloves AND a foot pump? What kinda pussy, in 2025, doesn't have, at a minimum, an electric pump/compressor that plugs into the accessory port (former cigarette lighter)?

You'd think that someone who pays that much for an alleged truck could also afford a rechargeable pump.

Classic Hank Hill a man so inept at fixing mechanical things that he had to rely on Luann to fix his truck multiple times. However, he will always be first in line to pontificate about what makes a man, yet never seems to come close to measuring up himself.

I wear them when I’m working on my models. There’s natural oils on your fingers that can transfer to the plastic and show up even after painting. The gloves prevent this.

what the frick did I just watch?

That's definitely not the first time he's done those motions.

But as to the gloves thing, yes. My mechanic friend has black gloves and when we work on vehicles we use the black gloves so we don't get black shite and oil and grease on shite he doesn't want dirtied. It's important some parts go in and stay clean, and it's a lot easier to change gloves than constantly wash your hands.

This has nothing to do with it. There's a tub of gojo at the sink. No one (of my friends) is scared of dirt and grease.

The nitrile gloves are just easier to work with and keep shite cleaner. And I understand the thinking now. I was like you before but now, give me the gloves.

Not to mention there's a $100k+ car in the garage that I sure as shite ain't getting dirty.

Well, he bought a Cybertruck, so the self-respecting part is moot.
