Mitch's dream is almost complete! Any year now, you'll have to pay admission to get into French-Quarter-land

My now adult kids loved the cruises we went on when they were younger and would do another in a heartbeat. The Disney Fantasy trip we took when they were all teenagers in the teen club is probably our family’s favorite vacation ever, and yes, we’ve taken lots of OT approved non-trashy vacations. Service was impeccable, food was great, no trashy peeps and ship was beautiful. Castaway Cay is the bomb. Steak every night. Went to a different beach every day. Can’t beat it.

The first voyage from New Orleans on Feb. 14, 2020, will be a seven-night cruise aboard the Disney Wonder, which can hold 2,400 passengers and a crew of 945. Ports of call include Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Falmouth, Jamaica. Three days at sea are built into the itinerary.

i enjoy my cruises but, 14 days seems a little too long.

No doubt... I've been on 5 cruises, 2 Carnival, 1 Princess, and 2 Royal Caribbean.

I've done two 7 day cruises... and by the last day, I'm ready to get the hell off the boat and get back to my bed.

Well there goes the rest of my money. Going on our 8th Disney cruise (platinum here we come) in November out of Galveston. This will just make it easier especially around Mardi Gras.

I got a plus sized cabin and big balcony. The kids will have fun and I will do just fine I'm sure.

Oh hell now. I couldn't afford that. Just got a nicer cabin on the Norwegian.

But the majority took waiting in line

We went in 2015 out of Galveston. Maybe it's worse now.

So I defer to my original point. Thanks for the info. Hopefully they allow cigar smoking in designated areas.

Every line is different. :(
Went, in 2014, on the Carnival Dream out of New Orleans. They had JUST changed their policies, there was a cigar bar on the ship when it was built, which was by then an empty room with nothing but tables and chairs in it. Smokers of all kind were relegated to the "Lanai" a covered area just outside the casino and bar area on deck 5, port side only. At least it was covered.

Within a few years they'll find the Cruise Ship in Lake Pontchartrain over by New Orleans East torched with a dead Mickey inside.

Good luck with that Disney! You have Mickey's blood on your hands...

This can’t be true! Bunch of Trump voters told me the whole world was gonna boycott NOLA after the statues came down.

All overly touristy vacations are on the trashy side. Cruises, theme parks, Sandels-type resorts...
I will pay the price for admission to watch you tell your children that they can't go to Disney, Universal, Sea World, etc. Let me video it please. The kids crying, the wife yelling at you for being such a dumbass, you giving in, etc.
