The older I get, the more stressful both Disney and Cruises seem to me.

Based on the trash I saw cruising out of New Orleans, they will regret this decision.

Disney prices out a lot of the trash.

So does the neighborhood I live in. Count me in on a Disney Cruise.

Same here. EVERYTHING is just a notch better, from the cleanliness to the better materials from carpet to ceilings, not to mention the food.

Only x-factor to me is no real cigar-smoking location, unless it's way up and out of the way.

People travel from all over for Disney cruises. They aren't just going after the local people who can drive in to the port. The price alone keeps tons of trash out. I love cruises but the cost of a Disney cruise is insane. I'll deal with the trash if I am going out of Nola. I'll pay more for Celebrity or Princess.

The parks are stressful, but seems the cruise would be more relaxing. I assume there is no waiting in a 2 hour line for an overrated 2 minute ride.

Damn! That’s pretty big news. They have been trying to make this happen for a long time

Meh. If you have kids you can let go on their own, there's a really nice adult deck. It's like you see on commercials. You have your own space, it's quiet and civilized, etc.. The island is nice as well. We had a 3 year old when we went earlier this year. The regular area of the ship wasn't all that much better than a regular cruise. It was better from a service perspective. But from a quality of other people, not a lot better. Yeah, higher prices should price out trash, but trash is willing to blow money on Disney.

I'm imagining it from the point of view of a parent and also being boxed in on a vessel with thousands of people, most of whom, are probably trashy.

cigar-smoking location,

I’ve never done a cruise and the Disney one seems like the best choice for my family. Not being able to smoke cigar would be a deal breaker for me. I don’t care if it’s out of the way, but if I am on a vacation and the goal is to relax, then I want to smoke a damn cigar.
